![]() I’m glad I read it, and I think you should too. While there is nothing too explicit in the book, I do think it would serve older kids better. I talked her into it and she enjoyed it, but was concerned that it was too deep of subject matter for kids in 4th grade (our school’s highest level). After surviving a car accident that took the life of her boyfriend, a teenage girl believes he's attempting to reconnect with her from the after world. The Synopsis This story follows friends Quinn and Kara. My friend had been eying the book for awhile but almost never checks out books from me. I’m not going to give too much away because it would have been more enjoyable for me if I hadn’t been given the summary by a friend at work. What you don’t get from the synopsis or the cover is that the Inn Between is in between life and death. To the whole is prefixed a Synopsis of the Argument of St. Looking at the cover, you kind of get the feeling the girls are going to have one last adventure together and solve a mystery. Society of Lincoln's Inn, from the year 1812 to the year 1819. Will the girls be able to solve the mystery of what happened to Kara’s family and escape, or will they remain stranded forever at the Inn Between? The girls are left alone to navigate strange guests, hallways that twist back on themselves, and a particularly nasty surprise lurking beneath the floorboards. She begins to notice disturbing things happening around them, and soon Kara’s parents and brother mysteriously disappear. They stop at the first hotel they see, an old Victorian that instantly gives Quinn the creeps. ![]() Here’s what the synopsis said: Quinn Martin and Kara Cawston have been best friends since kindergarten, so when Kara and her family are about to move away, Quinn joins the Cawstons on one last road trip west to Nevada. ![]()
